Rebecca and Andrew’s Wedding Day
It was a windy, rainy day in March. We found ourselves in a pictoreqsue village in Wales, looking out the pub windows to see if there's any glimpse of the sun - none.
No problem! After all the years, we've learned a precious lesson: it's the people, not the weather, that truly make the day special.
With this thought on our minds, we've set up to photograph Rebecca and Andrew's day. And once again, we were proved right. They smiled, they laughed, they said I do, they soldiered through their round of windy formal shoots and then they danced their hearts out all through the night.
There's no better testimony than the photos.
In the morning, the bride and groom got dressed in separate homes. They both had their beloved ones close by and it was generally a chill and relaxing morning. Everything worked out just perfectly splendid - and soon we were on our way to the ceremony. - Misselthwaite Flowers Ltd. brought these gorgeous flowers that paired beautifully with the pastel blue dressed wore by the bridesmaids.
Rebecca and Andrew vowed their eternal love to each other in a small church in Pontypridd.
We decided to skip the group photo outside of the church because the wind just got mad at that moment and the rain was pouring heavy and cold. Everyone was ready to head to the wedding venue and get warm with a drink. Once we have arrived at The Marquee at Ridgeway Golf Club, the atmosphere got really joyful and people were mingling in the reception before the wedding breakfast. Just the best moment to face our party with the biggest challenge of the day: outdoor group shots. We wanted to take advantage of the gorgeous view outside and the covered area overlooking the green grass and trees — it would have been a shame not to use it for some of the most important wedding day photos.
Once these were out of the way, our bride and groom were brave enough to step on the golf course for a quick romantic session with just the two of them. Among the rain drops and the cold winter breeze, I'd say we managed to get amazing images, without keeping them away for too long.
And just like that - it was time to party. The venue has some great entertainment games prepared to get everyone up and involved. When they started bringing in the fun, we were amazed - didn't know where to look first. It was chaotic in the best way and everyone was having a blast. We laughed, we shouted, we got down on the floor and up in the air, dancing and photographing continuously for about 2 hours. I would definitely love to see this happening more often. It was a great way to get the night started.
Dear Rebecca and Andrew - we’ve had an amazing day and we hope the memories will bring you tears of joy for years to come. We wish you all the best in your journey. Wherever you go in this life, it will be worth it, as long as you remember to pack one essential thing in your suitcase: your unconditional love for each other.
